Thanks a million!

Whoa ... I just noticed that the number of page views has passed the 1 million mark. Actually, the number since I started in September 2005 is probably higher because, for the first few months, I did not know how to add a counter to my blog. In fact at that time, I did not know how to add hyperlinks too.

1,000,000

Anyway. Thank you dear readers of Good Morning Yesterday.

No, thank you!

Thank you for bringing back Singapore to the thousands of us who had never seen it before. You should be in the National Day Honours list.

Congratulations Mr Lam and here's to many more milestones to come.

You acted on PM Lee's words before the authorities did, to share stories of Singapore's past for the benefit of the younger generation. May the viewership surpass the population of Singapore, haha

Congratulations, Chun See!

With "Good Morning Yesterday - The Book" now on sales available at all major bookstores in Singapore, the blog visitors to increase the number of viewership at your blog certainly will be more.

Please spread the words to be aware of our nostalgia blogs and inspire more Singapore Memory Corps members to share their fond nostalgic memories to enjoy.

Cheers!

I’ve been away for more than 3 decades and have forgotten parts of the old Singapore. Through GMY I am able to journey back to the 50s and 60s of my childhood and feel thoroughly nostalgic. Chun See, thank you for the joys of sharing with your readers the stories of the past and keeping those precious memories alive for all generations. Congratulations!

Congratulations Chun See. I was just at the Bukit Batok Library this afternoon and saw 2 copies of your book on the shelf. I moved 1 copy from the Singapore Collection section to the 'new arrival' section for you! ha ha.

Impressive ... well done!

I used to think that Singaporeans were ashamed of their humble history, but now I know that's not true any more. You have done more than anyone, Chun See, to bring Singapore's true heritage to life.

Thanks for the nice compliments. Must not forget the many contributors who shared their stories here. We all know who they are.

Trouble is I enjoy doing this too much; and it takes up so much time. The one very positive outcome is that I was able to come up with a book. Many friends say they would not have the discipline and perseverance to write a book. I certainly wouldn't too, if not for this blog.

I mistakenly assumed that with all the materials already in the blog, coming up with the book shd be easy. Well, it wasn't. And it still took me 2 years. But I'm glad it all turned out well.

Thanks again to readers and contributors.
