Question. Where is this petrol station located?
Hint: I used to pass by it regularly on my way to camp more than 30 years ago.

I wonder if it qualifies as the smallest petrol station in Spore. I heard they open for biz in the morning.
Aiyah, Peter beats me to it. But to be honest, I was actually stumped at first. And then Peter's comment rings a familiar bell.
chun see, it is open in the day; i think up to about 6pm
I think Peter's right
Chun See I will go along with Andrew, I think Peter is right to, I was doing a bit of cheating I was on google road maps there is a Shell petrol station at the Mandai road and woodlands road.
Tom. Well done man. Did you use the Google Street View to see this petrol station?
This petrol station has been there for as long as I can remember. During the 10 months that I served as platoon commander in 30 SCE Mandai Camp in the 70's, I used to pass by it frequently. Of course, at that time the surrounding was very different. Before the construction of the BKE, this stretch of road was quite busy. Now it is very quiet.
yes Chun See I did use Google street view Just looking at the style of the Station, it looks if its been there for along time. I think Peter is very good at this type of Quiz you will have to make a wee bit harder for him and Victor, Eh.
In the Straits Times today, there were several pages of Then and Now photos of Spore. I wonder if they got their ideas from reading our blogs?
Peter is in fact my 'consultant' when it comes to old places. Look out for the next "Then and Now" quiz. He provided me the answer. That's why, sometimes, I 'embargo' him from taking part and giving the answer too soon.
I will will be looking out for the next quiz,I like quizzes,Chun See tell Peter not to make them to hard.
If I remember right, when everyone else was having digital pumps, this kiosk was still having the blue globe like thing with the dials showing the volume and cost of your top up. I went there once and was totaly intrigued by the retro-ness of it.
The Shell along lavender road is still using the old school analog reading pumps. Think is the only one left in singapore.
