I know the general location of this place but am not 100% confident
of the street/building. Even Stephen could not recall the exact location.

at Times @ Centrepoint (Tel: 6734-9022), Kinokuniya @ Ngee Ann City (Tel:
6737-5021). You can also get it at Betel Box Hostel, Bistro & Tours (Tel:
6247-7340) and HAF Box Pte Ltd (Tel: 6235-4560).

I think I know what bldg that is.
I think Pastimes might be correct but there is another possibility. And I got the book alrdy, so will not attempt until the deadline is up.
From the structure, it looks the former Golden City Theatre at Queenstown.
I think Pastimes may be close or even correct. Although it could be another place nearby, I shan't attempt as I alrdy got the book.
Roads in the picture are Corporation Road / Boon Lay Drive / Boon Lay Place
I think Pastimes is right. This is the junction of Yung An Rd and Corporation Drive (not Corporation Rd). I believe that bldg under construction was the Chase Manhattan Bank.
