In the forties WWII exploded causing world-wide suffering, fifties - Korean war & Suez crisis, sixties & seventies - Vietnam war, eighties upto now- middle east tension and worse war on terrorism, is violence going to stop? The first day I stepped into Bartley Sec. the boy sat next to me started a warm-up conversation: "Lam - do you know the world is coming to an end..." The actual fact still is - I really do not know the answer.

Agree that the world seems to be a lot more disaster and natural catastrophe prone these days. Its none stop wars, pestilences, earthquakes, floods, and so on. Deep in my heart, I somehow have a feeling that we may perhaps be living close to the end times.
In a messy political environment, it is useful to have a thief to catch another one.
