This is my
neighbour’s house located at the junction of two roads. This wall holds
precious memories for my family.
When my
three children were young – they are in their twenties now – I used to bring
them here after dinner. Can you guess what we did? We played the shadows game;
making shapes of animals using the light of the nearby street lamp. One special
game that I liked to play with my youngest – and cheekiest – was to pretend to
hammer her head with my fist like a pile-driver. Try to picture this. With each
‘blow’, it looked as if she was being driven deeper and deeper into the ground.
She seemed to get such a big kick out of it.
** The wall looks a bit dirty now. They are going to renovate and repaint it soon.

One hand hold camera, 1 hand make shadow.
sometimes, it's amazing how a simple thing such as an old wall can bring back fond memories....
Sorry. I need to re-install the Word Verification feature. Tried taking it out the past few days. Have been flooded with spam comments.
Chun See can do an reenactment and upload the video :)
Haha. The are now too tall to bang the head. Maybe wait a few years for the grand children.
Hi again!
I really like the part about making shadows under the streetlamps (on walls, streets, drains, etc)
Thanks for mentioning this. Brings back memories!
